Two snapshots of African youth, featuring the film Yellow Card, a smash hit in African theaters.

Public reception hosted by Pathfinder International follows. Yellow Card focuses on 17-year-old Tiyane, who's more successful as the star of his city's soccer team than he is in managing his love life. The film was a smash hit in African theaters, especially among teenagers. (John Riber, 2000, Zimbabwe; 90 mins.)

Watt is about a boy who loves his boombox, much to the annoyance of his girlfriend. (Balufu Bakupa Kanyinda, 1999, Congo; 19 mins.)

Following the screening, Dan Pellegrom, president of Pathfinder International, answers questions about Yellow Card, a Pathfinder-produced film. A dessert reception in the café follows. The talk and reception are free and open to the public.

Pathfinder International is a nonprofit organization that provides access to quality family planning and reproductive health services throughout the developing world.
