Fall Exhibition Preview and Opening Celebration RSVP

Be the first to see our presentation of Leap Before You Look, hear more about the art on view from curators Helen Molesworth and Ruth Erickson, and catch live performances of dance works created by Merce Cunningham at this evening-long celebration. Enjoy complimentary snacks and a cash bar as DJ CitizenDorianS spins tunes in the café 6–8:30 pm. The galleries open at 4 pm so you can preview the exhibition before the talk, which begins in the Film/Video Theater at 5 pm. See performance times below. Curator’s Talk | 5 PM
Hear from the two curators behind our fall exhibition, Leap Before You Look: Black Mountain College 1933–1957. Helen Molesworth is currently chief curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and served as the chief curator at the Institute for Contemporary Art/Boston when Leap Before You Look was conceived.

The galleries open at 4 PM so you can preview the exhibition before the talk.

Opening night events include early works by choreographer Merce Cunningham danced by OSU students, participatory events for local performers and artists, and live original music by Columbus and New York City musicians that stem from the groundbreaking work of key composers associated with Black Mountain College.
