Photo by @myohioadventure. ・・・ With colder temps moving in, I'm actively seeking things to do indoors. One place I know I'll take advantage of is the Wexner Center for the Arts. @wexarts is located at @theohiostateuniversity, and is one of the more interesting (both architecturally and culturally) places on campus. The center features exhibitions, film and video, performing arts, and various public programs. Now through Dec 27th, After Picasso: 80 Contemporary Artists will be on display, showcasing artists who have been influenced by Picasso. The Wex also has some really cool multi-day events coming up in late November within their film/video and performing art programs, including a screening of Flag Wars, a documentary about the gentrification of Columbus' Olde Towne East neighborhood, and the Object Lesson by Geoff Sobelle. Object Lesson should be really interesting, because it invites the audience to participate by digging through boxes of, well, stuff, while asking "Do you have what you need? Do you need what you have?" Tickets can be purchased online, and prices vary based on what you're going to see, but often free or discounted for students! Give @wexarts a follow and plan a visit if you're in the Columbus area! #myohioadventure
