Next Sunday (11/1) marks the rare opportunity to see Linda Goode Bryant and Laura Poitras’s doc FLAG WARS (2003), a personal look at gentrification in Olde Towne East, as gay, white homebuyers began moving into the working class black neighborhood. This work by Linda Goode Bryant and Academy Award winner Laura Poitras (CITIZENFOUR) was supported by #theWex's Film/Video Studio Program and screens as part of PICTURE LOCK, our four-day celebration of the program's 25th anniversary.
