In this session, youth worked from live clothed models and explored the historical context and figurative work of Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, and Jean Dubuffet. Columbus artist/educator Bryan Moss took participants through small experimental sketches with three kinds of 2D materials—vine charcoal, ink, and paint—and Wex educator Jean Pitman took the group through Transfigurations: Modern Masters from the Wexner Family Collection to talk about why the depiction of the human form is such a keystone throughout the history of art.
