Playwright/director Richard Maxwell and his New York City Players return with Isolde, their skewed take on the drawing room drama. Fans of irreverent UK theater won’t want to miss Stan’s Cafe and their hilarious-yet-probing take on Bible history, The Cardinals. Jazz fans are in for a treat with the Columbus debut of Melissa Aldana & Crash Trio and a concert by the outstanding Vijay Iyer Trio. Cellist Erik Friedlander and photographer Mitch Epstein examine how we live with diverse sources of energy in American Power. And vocalist Samita Sinha conjures the unique sonic and theatrical world in Cipher. In one of the concluding signature moments of our anniversary season, theater innovators SITI Company and visual artist Ann Hamilton premiere the theater is a blank page, a unique immersive performance they created with Wex support.
