Get ready for Ohio Shorts!

Virtual

What conversations have been on your mind lately? Do you want to make short videos that authentically capture this time we are in right now and your part in it?

Youth ages 13–17 are invited to join writer and filmmaker Claudia Owusu as we explore how to bring the power of sound, music, and the techniques of cinema verité (French for “truthful cinema”) to deepen the genuine quality of their video work.

Be sure to bring your scripts, stories, plots, or poetry and your sketchbooks for storyboarding during this free Zoom session. The online workshop will be limited to a very small group, so our virtual “seats” are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be videos to watch ahead of time; we will email those links after registration.

To register, please contact education@wexarts.org or use the registration link on the left. If you have questions about the session, we invite you to reach out to Community, Youth, and Family Programs Manager Jean Pitman at jpitman@wexarts.org.
