DANCE@30FPS: Japanese Chinese Dance Film Exchange

Three Butoh dancers are shown on a stage from a distance against a black background. Their skin is painted with white makeup.

Ohio State’s Department of Dance presents a special edition of DANCE@30FPS that highlights short films from Japan and China.

Developed in collaboration with Naoto Iina from Tokyo Zokei University and Liu Chun from the China Academy of Art, this exciting program showcases multiple perspectives on dance in film in the form of an international exchange between these two countries. (program approx. 90 mins. with intermission, DCP)

Organized by Ohio State Department of Dance graduate students Yujie Chen and Yukina Sato, along with Naoto Iina (Tokyo Zokei University) and Liu Chun (Chinese National Academy of Arts).
