Community Studios Pop-Up

A group of people sit and stand around tables while making art.

All are welcome to join us for a festive, family friendly art-making studio presented in collaboration with the Cultural Arts Center and local artist educators.

Try something new at this exploratory experience at the Cultural Arts Center. The pop-up studio features sketching with Tanya Pirasteh, making poetry collage and exploring text and words with Catalina Bode, creating a glass collage magnet with Meg Beech, and watching Marjaneh Abbasi demonstrate how to draw in perspective. Enjoy free coffee and snacks while you work!

The Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center, located at 139 W. Main Street, Columbus, OH 43215, is a creative arts hub offering adult art classes, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, tours, and special events. The center is operated by the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks. There is free street parking on Sundays!

RSVP by emailing mjrhein@columbus.gov. Have questions? Text or call Jean Pitman at (614) 313-8051.

Visit the Wexner Center on February 5, March 5, and April 2 for more opportunities to create art as part of our free First Thursdays program.
