The Ohio State University Libraries is holding one of its weekly "ReadAlouds" at artist Michael Mercil's Beanfield installation just outside the Wexner Center on College Road.

Readings from the essay "The Bean-Field" from Henry David Thoreau's Walden will be featured in celebration of the bean harvest. The reading will take place at the whispering wall/curved steps on College Road right next to Mercil's installation. (Rain site: Wexner Center café.) The Beanfield is a two-year public art project created by artist Michael Mercil as part of the Living Culture Initiative in Ohio State's Department of Art in partnership with the Wexner Center and the Social Responsibility Initiative in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
