"A band that...can truly dazzle you with mystery and originality.... It makes music that's both playful and brainy, and the group's performance was a spectacular demonstration of its conceptual and technical chops."—Arts Beat Blog–NYTimes.com

Brooklyn-based buzz-band-of-the-moment Dirty Projectors, led by front man Dave Longstreth, is coming off a major success at SXSW, a stellar collaboration with David Byrne for the Dark Was the Night compilation, a Soho gig with Bjork, and a much-anticipated new album, Bitte Orca, released June 9 on Domino.

Their previous release, Rise Again, began as a typically surprising idea from Longstreth--to reimagine a revered hardcore icon, Black Flag's 1981 album Damaged. Dusted called it, "one of the most formally radical indie records in recent memory...closely recreates the kinetic force of their live performances." But Longstreth and company keep moving on to fresh territory: his restless imagination and creative drive demand it.

Now the raves are pouring in for Bitte Orca, which is already being widely tipped as the "album of the year." Pitchfork gave it a rare 9.2 rating and a Best New Music tag immediately. Right now, nobody's hotter than Dirty Projectors--catch them here while you can.

This show is standing only.
