The Tiger Lillies 2001

wex grid image fill

London's Tiger Lillies, stars of the hit show Shockheaded Peter, return for an evening of deliciously twisted cabaret!

The highly unique sound of the Tiger Lillies draws from a grab bag of influences: Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht, English music hall songs, circus bands, and points beyond. Singer-accordionist Martyn Jacques leads the way with his charmingly bizarre falsetto warbling, ably supported by his droll rhythm section, Adrian Stout (bass) and Adrian Huge (drums and toys).

The Tiger Lillies will entertain you with their dark tales of the dark side, luridly detailing the surreal misfortunes of grifters, pimps, junkies, and losers in decidedly bentÛand peculiarly delightful songs laced with black humor.
