Architect’s Talk Daniel Libeskind

The force behind a series of breathtaking and influential buildings, Daniel Libeskind is an award-winning architect of international renown. Born in Łódź, Poland in 1946, he designed the Jewish Museum Berlin, Denver Art Museum, the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, the Military History Museum in Dresden, and the master plan for Ground Zero in New York City, among many other acclaimed projects. Libeskind’s commitment to expanding the scope of architecture reflects his profound interest in philosophy, art, literature, and music. Fundamental to his approach is the notion that buildings are crafted with perceptible human energy and should address the greater cultural context in which they are built. He teaches and lectures at universities across the world, and resides in New York City.
