Join us for a special Family Day inspired by the music and culture of carnaval in Brazil.
Get in the carnaval spirit as you explore the music and culture of Brazil. Learn to sing traditional Brazilian songs, and then dance and sing along to the rhythms of local band Brasileira. After making your own percussion instruments, you can play samba music with Eric "The Fish" Paton and his ensemble. Listen to Brazilian folktales, make your own carnaval headdress, and learn to dance the samba, a traditional Brazilian dance. At the end of the day, weÌll have a fun-filled samba parade through the Wexner Center, where you'll sing, dance, and play your handmade instruments!
Come for an hour or two or for the whole afternoon. No registration is required.
