An Evening with Carrie Fisher

"She can make us laugh, she can make us cringe, but she can also teach a great deal about the power of forgiveness."—People (on Shockaholic)

A true Hollywood princess—pop culture icon Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies and the daughter of one of Tinseltown’s most scandalous divorces—Fisher is also no stranger to trauma, rehab, and the challenges of addiction and bipolar disorder. Hilariously blunt and bravely honest, she has chronicled her experiences in Wishful Drinking, her best-selling memoir and award-winning solo Broadway show, and her new book, Shockaholic. Tonight she’ll tell tales and share insights from throughout her life and career with Erin Moriarty, Ohio State alumna and reporter for CBS’s 48 Hours.

Proceeds benefit The Ohio State University's Wexner Center for the Arts and STAR (Stress, Trauma, and Resilience) Program of the Wexner Medical Center.

Honorary event chairs: Lynnda Maria Davis and Elizabeth M. Siemer.
