Fallen Fruit

Hear from artists David Allen Burns and Austin Young, the collaborative duo behind Fallen Fruit. With fruit as its primary artistic medium, Fallen Fruit investigates the concept of community and the boundaries of public spaces through mapping fruit trees in urban areas. Fallen Fruit has exhibited internationally, including solo shows at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, and the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art.

Cosponsored by Ohio State's Office of Energy and Environment, Chadwick Arboretum, and the Conversations on Morality, Politics, and Society (COMPAS) program of Ohio State’s Center for Ethics and Human Values.

Fallen Fruit’s projects in Columbus are produced in close collaboration with The City of Columbus, The Ohio State University Extension, Community Housing Network, Parsons Avenue Merchants Association, The Reeb-Hosack/Steelton Village Association, Wagenbrenner Properties, the Weinland Park Community Civic Association, and the Wexner Center for the Arts. Funding is provided by The Columbus Foundation, Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, Puffin Foundation West, Ltd. and Scotts Miracle-Gro.
