With Jaime Moore, Jeni Britton Bauer, Amy Bodiker, and Michael Mercil
Tonight's discussion focuses on the many connections between food, art, and culture and how those connections have impacted the local food movement in Ohio and elsewhere. Central Ohio is home to an extraordinary network of farms, producers, and restaurants that make local, sustainable food a top priority. Jaime Moore from Wayward Seed Farm in Marysville and Jeni Britton Bauer from Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, leaders in developing working relationships between local food producers in our area, talk about those connections and their own activities. Offering additional perspectives are Amy Bodiker from Chefs Collaborative, a national network that advocates for sustainable food in the culinary community, and Ohio State art professor Michael Mercil, the creative force behind such projects as The Virtual Pasture and The Beanfield. Keep the discussion going at a reception immediately following the panel, featuring made-in-Ohio treats. This panel discussion is presented in conjunction with the Field & Screen film series.
