George Rush, a new assistant professor in the painting and drawing program of Ohio State's Department of Art, talks about his recent work. Rush previously taught at Yale School of Art, Vassar College, Rhode Island School of Design, Columbia University, and the University of Tennessee and was a 2004 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow in painting. He received his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and his MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts. In addition to participating in numerous group exhibitions, he has had solo exhibitions at Elizabeth Dee Gallery, New York; Galerie Mikael Andersen, Copenhagen; Galeria Javier Lopez, Madrid; Lemberg Gallery, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; and Kevin Bruk Gallery, Miami. Rush is preparing for a solo exhibition at David Richard Contemporary in Santa Fe in March 2011. Cosponsored by Ohio State's Department of Art.
