In anticipation of the Away from Home exhibition, this workshop explores integrated curriculum possibilities for that most poignant and, at times, controversial of conceptsÛhome.

At least since the biblical Exodus, stories of displacement and homecoming have formed one of the great organizing themes of Western culture.

The Poetics and Politics of Home includes presentations on relevant topics in history, literature, film, and art, and discussions of ways to integrate the theme into your curricula at various levels. This workshop is planned in conjunction with Ohio Education Association/National Education Association Central Inservice Day 2002.

Advance registration is required for The Poetics and Politics of Home. To register or to receive a brochure with complete descriptions of 2002-03 workshops and courses for educators, please call 614 292-6493.
