Splat Boom Pow! Getting Serious About Cartoons

In anticipation of the upcoming exhibition Splat Boom Pow! The Influence of Cartoons in Contemporary Art, this session explores integrated curriculum possibilities for this popular narrative form through presentations on the history of cartoons, graphic narrative forms, popular culture, and contemporary arts. Teachers will receive slides, lesson plans, and suggestions for how to address specific proficiency standards. They may elect to participate in curriculum development work from 1:30 to 4 pm.
