Work with artist Richard Duarte Brown to find out about graffiti and make your own messages.

Advance registration is required. This spring's wexLab workshops coincide with the exhibition Splat Boom Pow! The Influence of Cartoons in Contemporary Art, on view through May 2 at the Wexner Center Galleries at The Belmont Building. Two of the best-known artists in Splat Boom Pow, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, first gained fame for the graffiti they produced on the streets of New York. They wanted to bring the energy and look of graffiti art into the work they went on to show in art galleries and museums. In this workshop, you'll explore the expressive power of graffiti art with artist Richard Duarte Brown.

Advance registration is required. Scholarships are available to cover materials fees. For more information or to register, please call 614 247-6835 or e-mail agregory@wexarts.org.
