Explore popular culture, advertising, and personal identity with artist Brian Ireson.

Advance registration is required. This spring's wexLab workshops coincide with the exhibition Splat Boom Pow! The Influence of Cartoons in Contemporary Art, on view through May 2 at the Wexner Center Galleries at The Belmont Building. Corporate logos as personal identities? How and why do we take corporate logos and emblems as symbols of self-expression?

In this workshop, you'll check out examples of "borrowing" from popular culture in the Splat Boom Pow! exhibition, then work with artist Brian Ireson to express your own take on the advertising-saturated world of today.

Advance registration is required. Scholarships are available to cover materials fees. For more information or to register, please call 614 247-6835 or e-mail agregory@wexarts.org.
