Every thinking mind needs a world view. This program introduces your students to cross-cultural perspectives through experiences with selected contemporary artworks or artists.

This year, classes will see The Letter, a dramatic and suspenseful documentary film by Ziad H. Hamzeh that explores the social and political issues and controversies that arise as a community of Somali refugees settle in a small milling town in Maine. Teachers will receive resource materials to help prepare students get the most from the WorldView program, which includes the film screening, a discussion afterward, and a complimentary lunch.

Teachers, register your class by calling (614) 292-6493 or e-mailing edweb@wexarts.org.

This program is a partnership with Ohio State’s African Studies Center.
