Zoom Family Film Festival

Each year the Wex brings filmlovers of all ages a long weekend of incredible movies for all ages from all over the world: fiction and documentary, live action and animation, features and shorts. We've got a zippy new name for our fifth annual festival, but the commitment to great films and family fun remains unchanged. This year, one of the festival’s film highlights is sure to be JUMP!—an inspiring, dramatic, and entertaining documentary about competitive jump rope, screening on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. Forget whatever notions you have about this childhood pastime. The kids in this film make jumping rope part extreme sport and part art form as their mind-boggling moves are expertly choreographed and bursting with rhythm, sweat, and originality. After the encore screening on Sunday, head over to Mershon Auditorium to watch a dazzling interactive demonstration in the Jumps and Stunts event at 3 PM.
