We can't wait to return to Gravity to share this year's Ohio Shorts lineup! It's the second time the luxury apartment complex will host the program and once again, the screening coincides with Franklinton Fridays. It takes place July 14 at 480 W. Broad St., starting at 9 PM with doors opening at 8 PM. It's free for all audiences and no RSVP is required.
Franklinton's monthly showcase for local artists and creative entrepreneurs is a great match for our 27th annual program reflecting Ohio's vibrant and diverse filmmaking culture. And the later showtime leaves space beforehand to check out the area's murals, galleries, and studios.
Ohio Shorts features documentary, animation, narrative, and experimental moving image work, all made within the state's borders. This year's lineup was curated by Columbus native and filmmaker Colin West, whose own work has screened at Ohio Shorts. West's most recent feature, Linoleum, opened to critical acclaim earlier this year.
Jennifer Lange, head of the Film/Video Studio at the Wexner Center for the Arts, will start the evening with remarks about the program and how the Wex has supported filmmakers, both locally and globally, over the years.
Thanks to our friends at Gravity and Kaufman Development for supporting this event.
We hope to see you there!
