Pick and Reels: Basketball on Screen

To celebrate the release of Columbus icon Hanif Abdurraqib’s new book, There’s Always This Year: On Basketball and Ascension, the acclaimed writer, critic, and poet chose three of his favorite basketball films to complement the themes explored in his book. There’s Always This Year is an intimate and poignant exploration of Abdurraqib’s love for the game throughout his life. Abdurraqib will introduce each screening and sign copies of his new book following Above the Rim on May 11.
