Security measures

Security screenings, including metal detectors, may be in place for Wexner Center events. All visitors are subject to be screened, and all bags are subject to search. If prohibited or offensive items are found, guests may return them to their vehicle or surrender them to security without return.

We encourage you to check your coat in the complimentary, self-service coat check in the Wexner Center lower lobby (with a limited number of free lockers) or the Mershon Auditorium lobby. If you wish to keep your coat, Wexner Center security personnel may ask to inspect it before you are admitted into the event space.

Some events held in Mershon Auditorium are not Wexner Center events. We host rental events as well as those managed by Columbus Arena Sports & Entertainment (CASE). For these events, security measures will be in place.

Photography

We invite visitors to our galleries and music performances to take still photographs without flash, so long as they are for personal, noncommercial use, except where restrictions are indicated.

Please do not take photographs during dance and theater performances or film screenings.

Include #theWex when posting your photos, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram @WexArts.

Phones, tablets, and mobile devices

Visitors may use their devices as needed in our gallery spaces if use does not impact the viewing experience of others. Please be aware of those around you when using devices.

Devices are not permitted to be used during dance and theater performances or film screenings.

Walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters

Personal mobility devices are welcome at the Wexner Center, and a limited number of wheelchairs are available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a wheelchair in advance of your visit email accessibility@wexarts.org or call (614) 688-3890. Review the Accessibility page for more information about the access services we provide.
