Influential documentarian Frederick Wiseman's 38th feature film is another fascinating exploration of an American institution, this time Lord's Gym in Austin, Texas.

Wiseman's trademark observational style allows us to witness a compelling cross-section of fighters and the small moments of triumph and disappointment common to the boxing milieu but often overshadowed by testosterone-fueled fireworks. Everyone is welcome at Lord's Gym, even those with no hope of moving beyond the gym's humble trappings. (91 mins., video)
