Many classic films are just as powerful today as when they were first released. We add such films from many genres to our schedule throughout the season. Many are shown on the occasion of their rereleases, in fresh, new or restored prints.

Compare Michelle Williams's take on Marilyn Monroe—and Kenneth Branagh's on Laurence Olivier—with the real thing in this classic/contemporary double bill.

Set in London in 1911, The Prince and the Showgirl stars Monroe as a performer who lands in the middle of political intrigue after following a young royal (Laurence Olivier) back to his hotel room for dinner. (115 mins., 35mm)

My Week with Marilyn is based on the memoirs of Colin Clark, a young man charged with escorting Marilyn Monroe around London during the production of The Prince and the Showgirl. Michelle Williams and Kenneth Branagh were both Oscar nominees for their roles. Eddie Redmayne also stars as Colin Clark. (101 mins., 35mm)

My Week with Marilyn begins at 9:05 PM.
