Audience favorite Sam Green returns to the Wexner Center for his third “live documentary” event (following Utopia in Four Movements in 2010 and The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller with Yo La Tengo in 2012). Inspired by the Guinness World Records Book, The Measure of All Things offers an extended meditation on fate, time, and the outer regions of the human experience. The project weaves together a series of portraits of record-holding people, places, and things, including the tallest man, the oldest living thing, the man struck by lightning the most times, the oldest living person, and the woman with the world’s longest name, among other curiosities and wonders. During the screening, the affable Green narrates the film while the Quavers (Todd Griffin and Catherine McRae with Fugazi’s Brendan Canty) perform its soundtrack. It’s a film that you won’t be able to experience unless you’re in this specific room on this specific night, so purchase your tickets early and don’t miss out! (65 mins., video)
