Violinist and vocalist Andrew Bird, who opened here for The Magnetic Fields in 2004, returns with a set of his uniquely timeless songs.
Bird's latest release, The Mysterious Production of Eggs, is "introspective and witty...full of texture and melody, yet also beautifully simple," says the Los Angeles Times. Opening the show is Chicago-based band Head of Femur, who perform intricate orchestral pop with smart surreal lyrics that will find favor with fans of Arcade Fire and Flaming Lips.
