“And that’s what makes him so relatable and charming: He may not know exactly what love is, but…he sure as hell gives himself over to all of love’s most ridiculous dreams.”—Paste

Lovelorn Swedish singer/songwriter Jens Lekman returns to the Wex on tour with a new batch of winning tunes from his recently released album for the Secretly Canadian label. Lekman’s droll humor and adroit turns of phrase illuminate a songbook that has made hopeless romantics of us all. With a musical vocabulary that draws from Arthur Russell, The Magnetic Fields, and Modern Lovers, Lekman’s unabashedly melodic songs remind us to appreciate the beauty of the everyday—both at its most heartbreaking and hilariously absurd. Be there to catch his new material alongside his Columbus faithful, up close and personal in our intimate Performance Space.

Maine-based singer/songwriter Liza Victoria, who records and performs as Lisa/Liza, will open with a set of intimately beautiful songs drawn from her most recent release, Deserts of Youth.
