Big Art Group is a performance ensemble from New York that combines theater and video into a form the company calls "real time film." At this school program, students see a section of the ensemble's recent project House of No More and participate in an interactive discussion with Big Art Group Founder Caden Manson. Like many of the Big Art Group's projects, House of No More explores the impact of our media-saturated culture on personal identity and contemporary society. The panoramic performance uses live video layering, green screen technology, dense sound design, and split-second choreography. At this school program, students see a section of the full performance along with clips from other works. Big Art Group founder Caden Manson participates in an interactive discussion with students, and some members of the audience will be able to try out the group's hi-tech video techniques.
