Dr. Sam Meier, associate professor of Hebrew (in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations) and history at Ohio State, offers insights into the ancient Biblical figures that photographer Adi Nes portrays using contemporary Israelis.

Meier is the author of The Messenger in the Ancient Semitic World and has won several teaching awards at Ohio State.
