Two Artists: Louise Lawler and Andrea Fraser

Performances 12-4 PM; Artist's Talk at 4:30 PM

Artist's Talks

Informal presentations by artists.

Wed, Nov 8, 2006 12 PM

Both Louise Lawler and Andrea Fraser are artists known for their cunning critiques of museums and other arts institutions. Today you can see works by both artists and hear them talk about their ideas. Don't miss this opportunity to see these two internationally acclaimed artists in a rare joint appearance.

Please note: the format of this event has changed from earlier descriptions.
From 12 to 4 PM, Andrea Fraser performs May I Help You? in the Wexner Center's galleries, with performances beginning at approximately 20-minute intervals. No preregistration is required. Just drop in to catch Fraser's provocative, hilarious, and sometimes disturbing work. While you are in the galleries, also take a look at Louise Lawler's photographs and other projects in Twice Untitled and Other Pictures (looking back) (a selection of old and new work by the artist) and Shiny.

At 4:30 PM Louise Lawler discusses her work in a lecture spanning her entire career in the Film/Video Theater. Following the lecture, we'll screen a video of May I Help You?. Then the two artists will participate in a joint Q&A with the audience--so have your questions ready.
