Eccentric Soul, Coming Home

It's no surprise that when the Numero Group decided to take their Eccentric Soul Revue out on the road to a few cities this fall, Columbus would be on the list. If you've been following the stellar reissue output of Chicago-based Numero, no less than four records from their catalog (Capsoul, Four Mints, Wee, and Prix) came from our fair Capitol City. While Detroit or Memphis may have gotten all the attention, Columbus was a hotbed of soul/psych/r'n'b in the late 60s and early 70s, usually all revolving around the universe of musical (later political) svengali, Bill Moss (R.I.P.). That we are presenting this show at the newly renovated Lincoln Theater on Columbus' Near East Side, and that Columbus' own Four Mints and Marion Black are also on the bill, well, let's just call it an evening not to miss.
