An Irish Farce

Druid Ireland has arrived in Columbus and is preparing the
Thurber Theatre
for two nights of "a theatrical experience that claws at the imagination for days afterwards" (
Variety
).
The Walworth Farce
, the international theater hit from Galway, Ireland, is sure to be one of the major highlights of our theater season. The production revels in acclaimed Irish playwright Enda Walsh's sparkling command of language and the riotous twists and turns of his freewheeling play-within-a-play plot.
This isn't your typical Wexner Center theater production. Like the title implies, the show is presented as an old-fashioned farce—complete with rapid costume changes, cross-dressing, and mistaken identity. As for the plot, it focuses on a family (a father and two sons), who daily reenact a play that has been written by the father, which shakily depends on his selective memory.
Want tickets to the show? We'll be doing giveaways on

for the rest of the week, so be sure to follow

More links and a video interview with Enda Walsh after the jump.
