Wex Artist Residency Project premieres at Sundance

We’re excited to see Certain Women, the latest film from Kelly Reichardt, make its world premiere today at the Sundance Film Festival. Apart from a new film from Kelly Reichardt (Old Joy, Meek’s Cutoff, Night Moves) always being cause for excitement, it’s especially exciting knowing that she and the film received support from our 2015–2016 Artist Residency Award in Media Arts, which provided post-production support and allowed her to shoot on 16mm, her preferred format.

The buzzy Michelle Williams/Laura Dern/Kristen Stewart-starring drama has garnered the attention outlets as varied as Vogue, Entertainment Weekly, Wired, the Los Angeles Times, and Indiewire, which have picked it as one of Sundance’s can’t-miss titles. We’re honored to have supported part of its production.
