Do you want to advocate for the environment? Are you eco-conscious and interested in contemporary art? If you are in grades 10–12 (as of Fall 2019), here's your chance to learn about the intersections of art and ecological issues at Ohio State while earning high school credit through your own school.
Along with extensive online course work, wide-ranging field trips, and visits from artists working on ecological issues, this program gives you an opportunity to exhibit your own environmentally informed art at the Wexner Center.
The course meets most Wednesdays, 3–5 PM, August 21, 2019–January 8, 2020, and is free, with supplies provided along with transportation assistance. Reliable online access is necessary. Students from schools throughout central Ohio are welcome to apply by May 1, 2019.
Find applications and more information at wexartecology.org or call (614) 292-6493. Teachers, please contact edweb@wexarts.org for information about free in-school presentations about this opportunity for interested students.
