Elena Perantoni

Co-interim Head of Performing Arts

Elena Perantoni joined the Wexner Center for the Arts in 2023 as a producer in the performing arts department and currently serves as its co-interim head. As a member of the Wexner Center’s executive management team, she is part of a cross-departmental group of senior leadership that advises the executive director on strategic planning and implementing center goals.

Perantoni is thrilled to be a part of the center’s performing arts team, where she assists in curating and programming the center’s theater, music, dance, and multidisciplinary performance programs. In addition to programming, she serves as a producer, ensuring that artists have everything that they need to create and perform their work for Columbus and Ohio State audiences.

Perantoni previously worked for 15 years at the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), where she held the role of venue and programming rental manager, in charge of all rentals of Columbus’s historic downtown theaters. Prior to CAPA, she worked for Broadway Across America, also in Columbus. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater performance at Denison University and while in school she worked on two separate Broadway productions as part of the New York Arts Program: Christopher Trumbo’s Trumbo and John Leguizamo’s Sexaholix. After graduation, she worked at New York City’s Dixon Place theater on the Lower East Side, where her love for movement-based experimental theater and dance developed.

Perantoni is also currently a company member of Available Light Theatre, which fosters new and original works that serve Columbus. She is passionate about cultivating a deep sense of community connection through art and performance.
