Elena Perantoni

Elena Perantoni joined the Wexner Center for the Arts in 2023 as a senior producer in the performing arts department and since has acted as interim curator and head of dance and theater programming.

At the Wex Perantoni curates the center’s theater, dance, and multidisciplinary performance programs. In addition to programming, she serves as a producer for dance, theater, and multidisciplinary performances, ensuring that artists have everything they need to create and perform their work for Columbus and Ohio State audiences. As a member of the Wexner Center’s leadership team, she advises the executive director on strategic planning and center goals.

Perantoni previously worked for 15 years at the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), where she held the role of venue and programming rental manager, in charge of all rentals of Columbus’s historic downtown theaters. Prior to CAPA, she worked for Broadway Across America, also in Columbus. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater performance at Denison University and while in school worked on two separate Broadway productions as part of the New York Arts Program: Christopher Trumbo’s Trumbo and John Leguizamo’s Sexaholix. After graduation, she worked at New York City’s Dixon Place theater on the Lower East Side, where her love for movement-based experimental theater and dance developed.

Perantoni is passionate about cultivating a deep sense of community connection through art and performance.
