Emily Oilar

Director of Planning and Strategic Project Management

Emily Oilar joined the Wexner Center in 2021 as project manager in the Department of Learning & Public Practice and now serves as the director of planning and strategic project management. 

For over a decade, Oilar has built a career in the nonprofit arts sector with a demonstrated history of working collaboratively and strategically across diverse networks to execute organizational objectives. She has held several positions within the university, most recently at Ohio State’s Urban Arts Space, where she collaborated with students, faculty, and staff to realize arts initiatives.

As director of planning and strategic project management, Oilar advances the work of projects, planning, and processes critical to the center’s success, with a strong focus on alignment with mission, vision, and values. In partnership with the executive director, Oilar also collaborates across the center to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Wexner Center’s strategic planning efforts. As a member of the Wexner Center’s executive management team, she is part of a cross-departmental group of senior leadership that advises the executive director on strategic planning and implementing center goals. 

Oilar has a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from DePauw University and a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University.
