The filmmaker's muse, Tilda Swinton, gives a striking performance as the heart of the family, the Russian-born wife of the patriarch's son.

I Am Love astonishingly integrates a stylish, ultramodern sensibility with a severe classicism that recalls Italian masters such as Antonioni and Visconti.
