The semi-autobiographical Keep the Lights On follows the emotionally and sexually charged relationship between a documentary filmmaker and a closeted lawyer in New York City. Beginning with a casual encounter, the couple falls into a deeper relationship, at some times romantic and at others deeply harrowing and dysfunctional. Winner of the Teddy Award for best queer feature at the Berlin Film Festival.
