Andres Wood, 2001

This delightful film from Chilean Patagonia recalls the work of Robert Altman with its lively ensemble cast. With a spirited ensemble of diverse characters set against the photogenic backdrop of remote coastal Patagonia, the delightful Loco Fever has been compared to vintage Robert Altman. When a ban on the loco, a shellfish reported to be an aphrodisiac, is briefly lifted, the quiet town turns into the Wild West as prospectors descend to harvest the endangered delicacies. (94 mins.)
