Octubre is a rich character study of a friendless man and the community around him. Clemente, a moneylender in a small Peruvian town, discovers a baby left on his doorstep. To care for the child, he enlists the help of his neighbors and a new, unlikely family is formed. Full of complex, surprising characters, the debut feature of Diego and Daniel Vega won the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
