In this faithful and sensitive adaptation of the original, the Darling children, Peter, and the Lost Boys create their fantasy household among mermaids, pirates, and Indians with the petite Tinkerbell continuing to charm us with her pixie antics. Starring Betty Bronson as the mischievous Peter, this silent fantasy offers contemporary audiences a fresh appreciation of the themes of lost innocence so famously explored in J. M. Barrie's play. For example, in a unique twist of the story, the Lost Boys fly the stars and stripes in place of the Jolly Roger after their victory over the pirates. Costars of Peter Pan are Ernest Torrence as an extravagantly emotional Captain Hook and Anna May Wong as Princess Tiger Lily. (102 mins.)

Recommended for ages 6 and up. Intertitles will be read aloud.
