Sam Green (The Weather Underground, Utopia in Four Movements) returns to the Wex to introduce a program of his award-winning shorts, highlighted by his latest film, The Universal Language. In this whimsical and poignant look at the history and legacy of Esperanto, Green traces the utopian universal language, from its creation by Polish doctor Ludovic Zamenhof as a path toward world peace in the late 1800s to a contemporary conference of Esperanto speakers in Yokohama, Japan.
