Here’s your chance to see one of the most-beloved of Walt Disney Studios' animated features in an ultra-rare 70mm print. A break from the studio’s traditional realism, Sleeping Beauty was the last of its features to be completely animated by hand before Xeroxed cels were introduced in the early 1960s. Shot in Super Technirama 70, the film’s stylized design begs to be seen in its intended format—Maleficent has never looked bigger or better.
There’s no better way to introduce the family to this classic fairy tale—or escape them for a little while after Thanksgiving! We’re excited to be one of the few venues allowed to screen this animation landmark. (75 mins., 70mm)
