Buffalo Boy follows the strikingly filmed journey undertaken by a Vietnamese teenager transporting his family's buffalo during the rainy season. The Chicago Tribune praised the film, calling it "an epic, sensitive study [by] a gifted, humane filmmaker." (Minh Nguyen-Vo, Vietnam, 2004; 98 mins.)
