Counterfeit Madison is the musical manifestation of Columbus resident Sharon Udoh. A versatile artist, her funky-yet-classical piano playing and gospel-tinged voice—punctuated by the occasional burst of ecstasy—make for an experience that surpasses genre in the warmest, most welcoming of ways.

Check out her magnetic onstage presence and poignant songwriting at this local release party for her second full-length album, Opposable Thumbs (Anyway Records). Counterfeit Madison will be joined by fellow Columbus-based artists Correy Parks, Mary Lynn, and Corbezzolo on this evening that will give you goosebumps, a soulful two-step, and everything in between.
